 The 1982 tool microscope at the Crystallization Observation Laboratory of Hebei University of Technology failed due to circuit issues and could not function due to lighting failure. Micro Instrument Optoelectronics' after-sales engineers inspected the entire circuit on site and repaired it, successfully restoring the lighting system.

Hebei University of Technology originated from the Beiyang Technical School, founded in 1903, and was one of China's earliest higher education institutions for training industrial talent, establishing one of the country's earliest university-run factories. In 1929, it was renamed Hebei Provincial Industrial College, and in 1995, it was renamed Hebei University of Technology. In 1996, the university was among the first batch of key universities under the national "211 Project"; In 2014, it was jointly built by Hebei Province, Tianjin Municipality, and the Ministry of Education; In 2017, it was selected as a national "Double First-Class" university.
