The microscope should be kept away from direct sunlight, drastic fluctuations in temperature and humidity, or environments with oil fumes and dust. The ideal operating temperature is 20°C ± 5°C, with relative humidity not exceeding 60%. When idle for extended periods, it is recommended to cover the entire instrument with a dust cover and place desiccant (such as silica gel granules, periodically dried) inside the optical compartment. Especially for high-magnification imaging (such as 100× objectives, NA > 1.25), high humidity can cause condensation on lens surfaces, which not only affects imaging clarity but also accelerates mold growth. Once mold spores grow on the coating layer, irreversible optical performance damage will occur. Some models from Weiyi Microscope incorporate built-in anti-mold and moisture-proof coatings within the microscope body, but external environmental management still requires the user's attention.
